Sometimes thinking of Christmas gift ideas for women can be difficult.
Check out this question and answers from one person facing this dilemma.
Question by Lakisha 3: Am I the only woman who thinks like this?
I was listening to a local radio station this morning and they were talking about Giving their girlfriend a bunch of expensive gifts etc for Christmas.
I don’t like getting a lot of gifts at Christmas. I would prefer a man to be nice to me every day, not just once a year. I would prefer that he’d help me around the house, or change the oil in my car, or fill my gas tank up once in awhile than buy some overly priced piece of jewelry that I wouldn’t wear.
Are there other women like me out there or am I the only one?
BUK: want me to make you some homemade peanut butter cookies? I can also cook up a small ham and bake some potatoes for ya.

Christmas Gift Ideas for Women

hell yeah i totally agree we need more WOMAN like us instead of gold diggers who want all of what you said
I’d just like a small token too, especially when you have shared finances…what’s the point of spending each other’s money on each other.
I think we men should take note from what you just said. I know I paid attention and will remember. Thank you for your question. It is appreciated.
im so with you on this but i get it all lucky me
You’re not alone girl….I am SO with you on this!!!
I agree with you. I don’t like doing christmas exhange kind of things with coworkers either.
* My bf is already like that he helps me in everything and what i need he cooks nd also helps clean – he’s perfect , also he buys me nice gifts =] *
Yes, that is why I hate Valentines Day. It is retarded in every way. Be kind and loving and sweet to me all of the time not just a few days out of the year. Plus spending a lot of money on a woman doesn’t show (at least to me) that you love me. It is how I am treated that is important. Unfortunately there are some women that love all that crap. I don’t know why…
i agree with ya-and also you helping him
You’re not the only one!
It’s those few gold diggers who give the rest of us a bad rap!
I am thankful, my hubby does that for me, but he doesn’t buy me jewelry, which I LOVE! I guess we can’t have it all ways. But, I do sympathize with you, totally.
You are not the only one, I feel exactly the same way=)
i dont want a gift either just as long as i got to see him over the holidays, doesn’t look like its very likely though
No, you are soooo not alone in that.
Even God prefers right conduct over sacrifice.
Sounds like a good deal to me.
Best holiday wishes.
i agree with you, but i like to get gifts
You are not the only one out there. I totally agree with you
It means more to me to have the help when I need it at anytime then to have a man who thinks a diamond cures all his neglectful ways the rest of the year.
I’ve met a few women like you, and am glad of it. It goes to show there are still a few women who don’t practice unadulterated greed all the time.
I think different people respond to those things in different ways. It’s like a different language almost. For me, if a guy spends time and energy on me, that really tells me he loves me, for my mom, if someone thinks of her enough to buy her a nice gift, that really lets her know someone loves her. However, my dad doesn’t really care about gifts and time, in his mind, is good, but if you want to let him know you love him, you gotta tell him. Different people need different things. some need gifts, some need time, some need words.
I am SO with you Sister!! (((hugs)))
I’m totally with you! I have never been a huge fan of Christmas because it is one day out of the year. Just one day…and look at the hoopla that surrounds it a month prior.
I don’t like to give gifts that are typical “Christmas gifts” like a foot soak or electric shaver. I give things that people need and will genuinely appreciate everyday.
My present from my best guy friend this year is a new windshield for my car. He offered to pay for it to get replaced. Now that is a gift I will appreciate everyday I get behind the wheel. That means more to me than a bottle of perfume or such.
My husband loves to shop and loves buying me gifts, particularly jewelry despite the fact that I don’t wear much, only my engagement/wedding rings. I’ve told him to cut back but he won’t so I just graciously accept the gifts and I’m grateful for having such a wonderful husband in my life.
Gifts are fun and all…..
But I am right there with you on this one!
I would rather be treated like a Princess 365 days a year….
then like a Queen on 1 day a year!
Peace.
i’m the same woman.
WELL,GO ON GIRL.you’re right.
i feel so much the same way. fancy crap doesn’t mean a thing to me. a gift of sobriety ia all i want from my guy…..
nope i would rathe rm ine cook twice a week and mow the yard ..maybe spend a week in cali with his friends to give me a break
Yep! It’s the little things that add up and mean so much more at the end of the day. I would rather be happy the whole year rather than just one day a year!
I know you said “women” but I want to add my $ .02 worth.
nearly everyone agrees with you but I bet most people opt for the expensive gift. I hate Christmas shopping, I hate buying presents and I sigh a big sigh of relief when it’s all over.
Christmas sucks, If I want to be nice to my lady or other family members I don’t need a day set aside to do so. Valentines day sucks too but don’t get me wrong, I love my wife and she knows it because I tell her. We do nearly everything together, where I go she goes. She’s my favorite motorcycle partner, she rides on the back of my Electra glide Ultra Classic and loves it there. we travel together , cruises and other stuff, we’re a team.. She feels the same way I do about Christmas and we don’t buy expensive gifts.
